We Don't Teach Marriage From Theory. We Teach From Experience.

Every marriage has a story. Ours began in beautiful Lake Tahoe, California. Neither of us was looking for marriage. We were both healing from previous divorces and believed we were simply moving forward with our lives.

But God had a different plan. When we met, there was an immediate connection, but what began as a friendship became something much deeper. Through prayer, intentional conversations, and time spent learning one another's hearts, God began revealing a new purpose for our lives together.

In June of 2013, we united our lives in marriage and began a journey we never could have fully anticipated — building a blended family together.

The Reality of Blended Family Life

Blended families don't come with a traditional honeymoon season. You don't slowly build a life from the beginning — you immediately step into the complexities of combining two histories, two families, different expectations, and often different wounds.

Together, we brought six amazing children into our marriage — four from Mike and two from Annie. We quickly learned that love alone was not enough. We needed humility, patience, forgiveness, communication, and most importantly, God at the center of our marriage.

Those early years challenged us in ways we never expected. We discovered that we each entered marriage carrying different beliefs about parenting, communication, family roles, conflict, and even faith. We had to learn how to stop fighting against each other and start fighting for each other.

Through those challenges, God began transforming not only our marriage but also our purpose.

From Marriage Struggles to Marriage Ministry

As we continued growing together, God opened the door for us to serve in our church's Marriage Ministry. Through that experience, our eyes were opened to how many couples were silently struggling.

We met couples who loved each other but didn't know how to communicate. Couples who wanted to stay together but felt stuck. Couples who needed hope that their marriage could become something stronger than it had ever been.

We saw firsthand the power of God working in marriages when couples were willing to seek Him, take responsibility, and commit to growth. That journey became the foundation for Marriage Champion Coaching.

We are not a perfect couple. We have had disagreements. We've made mistakes. We've had difficult conversations. But we are living proof that God can restore, strengthen, and transform a marriage when two people are willing to pursue Him and each other.

Life Beyond Marriage Coaching

When we aren't coaching couples, we treasure time with our adult children, extended family, friends, and our grandchildren. We enjoy traveling, exploring new places, sharing laughter, quiet walks, mountain retreats, and time with our beloved dog, Luna.

Family is one of God's greatest gifts — and we believe strong families begin with strong marriages.
